Event description
A plane belonging to Cloud Wings Airlines made an emergency landing at State F’s airport, overshot the runway, and collided with Heavy Logistics' structures. There were 113 people on board the plane. Fortunately, no one was killed; however, 56 people were injured, with 12 sustaining serious injuries.
As the plane approached the airport, the pilots relied on the runway lights. Everything was going as usual when, suddenly, the lights went out for 15 seconds. The pilots first found themselves disoriented, but soon assessed the situation and managed to land the plane manually. The aircraft hit the ground, losing its landing gear and both engines. While the emergency rescue team was making its way to the aircraft, three passengers got to the terminal by crossing the airfield without help.
Experts from the Interstate Aviation Committee and a special investigative group are already looking into the incident.
