Hackers broke into the luggage carousel control system and forced the doors to open and close right in the middle of the baggage claim process. As a result, many passengers' luggage was crushed before airport staff could cut the power to the carousel. Heavy Logistics will pay compensation for the damage caused. People have been posting photos of destroyed items on social media—broken bottles, ruined clothes—and even injured pets being transported in the cargo hold and brought to the pickup hall along with the rest of the luggage.
