Event description
Hackers attacked the automated titanium sponge production control system and managed to manipulate the data displayed on the screen to workshop operators. The attackers entered inflated pressure readings in the retort and misled the operator on duty. In an attempt to normalize operations, the operator reduced pressure, leading to insufficient reaction intensity and a deterioration in the quality of titanium produced. Production had to be stopped, and the damaged materials were written off as defective. The company will also incur losses from downtime and the reconfiguration of workshop equipment.
